My dream is to impart a sense of peace, nostalgia and aloha through my paintings. I focus on the positive things in life, balance, friendship, fun, big eyed girls, big hair with fun and quirky fashions. All of us have a dream inside, I got started about 9 years ago, when I decided to live my dream and create my heart's desire through painting and drawing. I am inspired largely by my coastal surroundings and the chilled lifestyle, I love characters, heroines and serendipity. Life is to explore, learn and grow. I use my art as an enquiry into life and learning. I draw with a mechanical pencil on paper. Photograph my drawings, and paint them with a wacom tablet in photoshop, although I sometimes prefer to paint with chalk pastels, gesso and acyrlics too! My fave book is Hawaii by James Michener, you can't beat the descriptions of idyllic island beauty and the message of aloha. I would describe my art as contemporary and quirky, a little of fbeat and a lot nostalgic. I use everything I come across, movies, books, quotations, stories, fashion, magazines as inspiration for my art.
